Avoid fraud

Look carefully at who's calling or sending the message. Scammers can fake phone numbers and email addresses, but there are often small errors.

Real messages from banks and authorities are always written with correct grammar. Scam messages often have spelling errors, strange phrasing or poor grammar.

Scammers often send links that look real but lead to fake websites. Instead, go directly to the bank's website by typing the address yourself.

Passwords, BankID codes, national ID numbers and card information should NEVER be shared with anyone who contacts you. Real companies never ask for this.

If someone calls saying they're from the bank, hang up and call the bank's official number. Find the number on the bank's website or on the back of your bank card.

Are you unsure? Talk to family, friends or your bank before doing anything. It's better to ask once too many than to be tricked.
