What is BankID and how does it work?
BankID is an electronic ID used to log in to public services and online banking in Norway. You get BankID through your bank.
How do I recognize scam messages?
Scam messages are characterized by asking for personal information, creating urgency, containing spelling errors, and having strange links.
What is phishing?
Phishing is fraud where criminals pretend to be legitimate businesses to trick you into giving up personal information.
How do I create a secure password?
A secure password is at least 12 characters with upper and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. Don't use the same password multiple places.
What do I do if I've been scammed?
Call your bank, report to police, change passwords and contact ID theft help.
Is it safe to use public WiFi?
Avoid online banking on public WiFi. Use mobile data for sensitive tasks.
