Recognize phishing
Phishing is fraud attempts that try to trick you into giving away personal information. Here you learn to recognize and avoid them.
What is phishing?
Phishing is when scammers send fake emails, SMS or messages pretending to come from a trusted sender, like your bank, NAV or the postal service.
The goal is to trick you into clicking a link, downloading a file, or providing personal information like passwords and bank details.
How to recognize phishing
Look at the entire email address, not just the name. Real email from NAV comes from @nav.no, not @nav-support.com or similar. Scammers use addresses that look similar but aren't quite right.
Tip!
Hover the mouse over the sender name to see the actual email address.
