Recognize phishing

Phishing messages often have spelling errors, strange wording or poor grammar. Real messages from public agencies are written correctly.

Don't click on links in emails or SMS you didn't expect. Hover the mouse over the link to see where it actually goes. Scammers use addresses that look like real websites.

Phishing messages often try to stress you: "Act NOW!", "Your account will be blocked in 24 hours!". Real senders always give you time to think.

Did you never ask NAV about anything? Are you not expecting a package? Then the message is probably fake. Think about whether it makes sense that you received this message.

Never open attachments from unknown senders. They may contain viruses or malware. Also be careful with attachments from known senders if the message seems strange.

Unsure if a message is real? Contact the sender directly via official channels. Find the phone number on their official website, not in the email you received.
