Lanekassen provides loans and grants to students. Here you learn how to apply and what you need.
What is a student loan?
Student loan is money you borrow from Lanekassen to cover expenses while studying. You pay back after finishing your education.
Parts of the loan can be converted to grant if you complete your education and don't earn above a certain limit.
Who can get a student loan?
- You must be admitted to an approved education
- You must be registered as a student
- You must take credits/be an active student
- You must have valid residence permit in Norway (if not Norwegian citizen)
