Lanekassen can convert parts of your loan to grant. Here you learn how it works.
What is a grant?
Grant is money you receive that you don't need to pay back. Lanekassen first gives loans, which can become grants if you meet the requirements.
Conversion to grant happens automatically if you complete credits and don't earn too much.
Requirements for getting a grant
- You must complete the credits you received support for
- You must not earn above the income limit
- You must not have too much wealth
- The education must be approved by Lanekassen

Useful tips
- Conversion happens the year after you took exams
- If you earn too much one year, you can apply for exception in special circumstances
- Housing grant you can get regardless of income if you live away from parents
- If you complete on time, you can get final loan converted to grant
