Register as unemployed

After logging in, look for "Work" in the menu or search for "register job seeker". Click on "Register as job seeker".

Check that your name, address and contact information are correct. If something is wrong, you must change it in the National Registry or contact NAV.

Fill in your highest completed education. Select level (primary school, high school, trade certificate, college, etc.) and describe what kind of education you have.

List the jobs you have had. For each job, provide employer, position, and how long you worked there. Start with the most recent job.

Add skills you have: languages, computer skills, certificates, driver's license, etc. This helps employers find you.

Select job categories and industries you are interested in. You can choose several. Also specify where you are willing to work geographically.

You must confirm that you are willing to work, participate in programs and meetings, and actively seek employment. Check the boxes to confirm you meet the requirements.

Review all the information. Click "Complete registration" when everything is correct. You are now registered as a job seeker!

After registration, you will be asked if you want to apply for unemployment benefits. If you are entitled to benefits, click "Apply now" to start the application.
