Renew driver's license
Driver's license must be renewed after a certain time. Here you learn how to do it.
About driver's license
Driver's license is both proof that you're allowed to drive and a valid ID card. It must be renewed regularly.
Driver's license for car (class B) is valid for 15 years if you're under 65. If you're over 65, it's valid until the day before you turn 80. After 80, you must renew with a health certificate (max 3 years at a time).
What you need
- Valid ID
- Health certificate if you're over 80
- Payment (see vegvesen.no for current prices)
- New passport photo (can be taken at the traffic station)

- Renew driver's license before it expires - driving with expired license is not allowed
