Your local library
Many libraries offer free computer help. Some have regular "computer hours" where you can get help with most things.
Volunteer center
Local volunteer centers often have volunteers who can help with computers and phones at your home.
Family and friends
Many have children, grandchildren, neighbors or friends who can help. Most think it's nice to help!

Tips when asking for help
- Write down your questions before meeting the helper
- Ask them to show you slowly - you should learn yourself, not just watch
- Don't be embarrassed - everyone was a beginner once
- Take notes or ask to have instructions written down
- Ask if you can call if you forget how to do it
